An ad might perform really well one day and not great the next day. Make sure not to make a hasty decision based on a knee-jerk reaction. It also depends on what the ad objective is. If you are spending more than your profit margin, then you need to revisit your ad objective. If have to know what you are willing to spend to begin with, what are you willing to pay in order to acquire a customer or make a sale.
